International Applicants

Two Girls Exiting the Bourne Mansion at Harrow New York Boarding School and Day School

Harrow International School New York acknowledges and respects the value and global perspectives that international students offer. With that in mind, we strive to attract students from a wide range of backgrounds.

Submitting a formal inquiry now is the first step towards showing interest in applying to Harrow International School New York.

We will begin to accept and process International Student Applications starting August 15, 2025 for potential January 2026 enrollment.

Submitting a formal inquiry now will ensure you are contacted promptly when we launch applications for international students to join our founding families in January 2026.

In our efforts to welcome international students, Harrow International School, New York is diligently pursuing SEVIS approval. We are currently projecting, based on our planning, to receive this approval around the end of October 2025, which would allow us to issue student visas for January 2026 enrollments. While the nature of the approval process means we cannot offer absolute certainty, we are taking all necessary steps to achieve this goal.

International applicants follow the same process as US applicants detailed here.

For overseas or long-distance applicants who are unable to travel to New York, the admissions assessment process can be administered under examination conditions by special arrangement and interviews will take place remotely via video conferencing.

All lessons and examinations are conducted in English, with the exception of modern and classic languages. It is essential that applicants possess a high level of fluency in written and conversational English if it is not their first language, so that they are fully able to access the curriculum which is delivered in English.

For those whose first language is not English, an indication of English language ability is required as part of the application process. Meeting minimum proficiency requirements may be demonstrated by providing IELTS, TOEFL, or other approved equivalent assessment results. If needed, the School provides additional resources for ‘English as an Additional Language’ (EAL) students to support their success.
