International Applicants
Harrow International School New York acknowledges and respects the value and global perspectives that international students offer. With that in mind, we strive to attract students from a wide range of backgrounds.
Submitting a formal inquiry now will ensure you are contacted promptly when we launch applications for international students.
TIMELINE
At this time, we can only consider applicants who hold a valid U.S. passport or visa. Please note that we are not currently accepting applications from international students.
The school is actively pursuing SEVIS certification (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System), which is required for U.S. schools to enroll international students on F visas. Once SEVIS approval is granted, we will be able to open applications to international students.
While we do not yet have an anticipated timeline for this approval, international applicants are welcome to submit an inquiry, and we will contact you as soon as we are able to accept applications from abroad.
PROCESS
International applicants follow the same process as US applicants detailed here.
For overseas or long-distance applicants who are unable to travel to New York, the admissions assessment process can be administered under examination conditions by special arrangement and interviews will take place remotely via video conferencing.
All lessons and examinations are conducted in English, with the exception of modern and classic languages. It is essential that applicants possess a high level of fluency in written and conversational English if it is not their first language, so that they are fully able to access the curriculum which is delivered in English.
For those whose first language is not English, an indication of English language ability is required as part of the application process. Meeting minimum proficiency requirements may be demonstrated by providing IELTS, TOEFL, or other approved equivalent assessment results. If needed, the School provides additional resources for ‘English as an Additional Language’ (EAL) students to support their success.
