For greater flexibility, Harrow New York offers complimentary daily pickup and drop-off at the Oakdale Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) station which is located approximately 1 mile from campus. This convenient service connects directly to New York City and the Hamptons, making commuting easier for day students and providing valuable access for boarding families.

Airport transportation

The School provides coordinated pickup and drop-off service for boarding students at Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP).

Regarding other NYC area airports, the School works closely with families to coordinate transportation with preferred, reliable vendors for students traveling to and from major airports, including:

  • John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
  • LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)

This service ensures a smooth transition to and from school, particularly at the beginning and end of term breaks.

District-provided bus service

Harrow New York partners with local public school districts in Suffolk County, including the Connetquot Central School District. Eligible day students may qualify for district-provided yellow bus transportation if their home is more than the minimum walking distance from school (typically 2 miles for grades K–8 and 3 miles for grades 9–12) and within the 15-mile maximum limit one way.

Students who reside within a 15-mile radius of Harrow International School New York are eligible for bus service from their district of residence.

Chapter 3635 of the New York State Education Law requires transportation requests to a private or parochial school must be submitted to the district of residence on or before April 1, preceding the beginning of the next school year. To request such transportation for the coming school year, please contact your home school district.

Failure to comply with the April 1 deadline may result in loss of district transportation services.

Monday thru Thursday  - 8:00am to 5:15pm 

Friday - 8:00am to 3:45pm
